Internet/Wiki Projects – project based learning allows a wide ability range of students to participate in learning. Assessment can be made on many different levels, covering many different state standards. Students can function and achieve through their interactions with peers. Internet projects are commonly conducted with multiple classrooms from different schools working on a major theme, or individual classrooms paired as partners in shared learning.

Kidlink is one source of multiple classroom projects. Its projects are conducted in several languages and with schools from 44 different countries.

1. Review the Internet links for Multiple Schools and Classroom to Classroom.

2. Choose: social studies, science, language, literature, math, or another specific focus topic. Decide on doing either a multiple school project, or a classroom-to-classroom project

3. Choose -  Create your own project or locate an Internet project you would like your future class to join.

4. Write a rough plan including the following: title and purpose of the project, state standards addressed, number of days, any special materials or equipment needed, what your classroom would look like and sound like during the project, and a side plan (or assignment) for handling off task students during the project.

5. Review the work of 2 classmates’ blogs; send me the names of the blogs you reviewed.
